My previous employer refused to pay my holiday entitlement. I went through the ACAS procedure and as the employer did not respond I was forced to make a claim with the Employment Tribunal. I didn’t know the court system and my English was limited, so I needed legal advice and representation.
I contacted different organisations that I found on the internet and recommended by my MP’s office, but no one wanted to help me, and in fact they advised me to drop the case because I would be wasting my time. Meg, however, decided to help me. She explained to me the stage I was in with the Employment Tribunal and how I could proceed. She helped me create the bundle and skeleton arguments for the trial. She listened to me on everything I had to say about the case, even though it was not applicable to the arguments. She also represented me at the hearing, explained how it works, how I should behave and what to expect.
She made sure I understood each legal proceeding, always giving me the liberty to decide what step to take next. Thanks to her, my employer has paid me the money he owed me. Meg’s service has been bespoke and she understood the emotional side of my claim. She is extremely quick with email responses; you can tell she works very hard. I highly recommend Meg’s legal services; I don’t know what more I could ask for from a lawyer.
I would just like to say a big thank you for everything you did. All your hard work and advice paid off. It’s been a long haul to get us to this point, but you never wavered and your professionalism and dedication was very impressive.
I would not hesitate in advising anyone with an employment problem to get in touch with you.
Margaret took time to explain options and risks and even explaining the complicated legal terms and policies in a very simple way for me.
Margaret appeared to know what she was doing, taking the right steps at the right time, and sometimes playing the negotiation game in a very professional and ethical way. She is thorough, patient, sympathetic, determined, diligent, kind, confident and calm… really calm, she managed to take away my stress.
You simply have a gem in your team, I am sure you know!
